Final Blog Post

Today I will talk about the character development of Jason, or what character development he will have to have in order for the mission to succeed. With two clear leaders out of the picture in Percy and Annabeth after they fell into Tartaurus, the only person who might fit into the leader picture is Jason. If he does this, the mission will be much easier with a leader.
Jason most likely will make the major development needed for the group to succeed in their mission. He has already made some major steps in becoming a leader, like holding group meetings or fighting off monsters while leading the charge, Jason will soon become the leader he needs to be in the group.

Today I will give a theme and summary for the more recent chapters in the House of Hades. What has happened is that the Argo II sneaked its way through Italy and managed to get to Bologna, but the ship was invaded by two dwarves and they stole the Archimedes sphere, among some other things. They are chased by Leo and Jason, and are eventually caught and forced to distract the Romans in New York.
The theme for these chapters is there are always positives for things that seem negative, because they sent the dwarves to steal weapons and stuff from the roman army. Another thing that came from the dwarf ordeal was the book and the astrolabe which most likely will help the demigods' later.

I will be reading a new book called the House of Hades. It is the fourth installment of the heroes of Olympus series, this book will feature an epic battle where Percy Jackson will attempt to close the doors of death in the pit of Tartarus. If he does this, the war will be own, but if not, the battle will have just begun.

Today I will give a theme and summary of the rest of Inferno. What has happened recently is that they found exactly where the solobon bag was and found it to be already dispersed. After a long chase by Langdon to find sienna. She tells him that what was released did not kill, It made people infertile, and only activated a certain amount of the time.
The theme for this story altogether is that man, when left to his own ambitions, will do anything for anything. In this case, Bertrand Zobrist was left on his own to do something he believed would save the world.

Today I am going to give a theme and summary of the most recent chapters of this story. The summary is that Langdon has recently found out that he was drugged and surgically given an incision in the skull to make him think he was shot and the amnesia was a result of the shot. They then tall him that they were trying to make him think people were trying to kill him despite the fact that nobody was.
The theme of these last few chapters is to expect the unexpected. This is because there were many things that I thought were for certain,( dr. Sinskey drugged in the van, running from Vayentha) were all fake, that just means that all the unexpected things happened.

Today I am going to talk about the character development of dr. Elizabeth Sinskey, the director of WHO. Recently she has teamed up with the provost, this is because he decided to finally view the video Bertrand Zobrist asked him to post to the world earlier in the story. Then, when Langdon gets captured and put on the ship, and she tells him she purposely drugged herself so her inner ear infection doesn't hurt her, but the drugs had a side effect, they made her really drowsy, so she looked like she was a captive to her own soldiers!
Sinskey will affect the story because she has a bunch of soldiers that have access to the law and shall help Langdon to find the diseased Baggie before it des solves in the water and releases the disastrous plague that would decimate humanity. She will also provide the transportation to get to the far-off place that has the plague in the form of a C-130.

Blog Post

O you possessed of sturdy intellect, observe the teaching that is hidden here...beneath the veil of verses so obscure. Seek the treacherous doge of Venice who severed the heads from horses... and plucked up the bones of the blind. Kneel within the gilded mounseion of holy wisdom, and place thine ear to the ground, listening for the sounds of trickling water. Follow deep into the sunken palace...for here, in the darkness, the chthonic monster waits, submerged in the bloodred waters...of the lagoon that reflects no stars.
That was a paragraph from the story that I am reading that was an intended mystery for the main characters to figure out. I will attemp to figure out what it is saying, as well as how it may affect the story. What I think it means is that the smarter people should try to read what the message in between the lines is, the theme, if you will. And in Venice, somewhere, if you lie down and listen, you will hear a small trickling of water that leads to an underground palace that has a deadly disease in it. How I think this may affect the story is that Langdon and co. will go to Venice, and find that the message does not end in Venice after all.

Reading Skills

Today I am going to ponder what has happened in the story and what might happen in the story from now on. What has most recently happened is that Langdon and Sienna have found Dante's mask with a message written on the back of the forehead; PPPPPPP. This is a very unusual message and near the end of the chapter it was hinted that the message was very obvious for people who studied dante. I think it will have to do with the rings of hell that dante made in his Divine Comedy.
What else happened at the end of the chapter is someone who has been following the main characters in the most recent chapters is waiting for them, and for some reason have 3k in his pocket. And a thought of his was highlighted, thank god avairce is an international sin. I think that this may either be an ally of WHO, or Zobrist (the antagonist) who did not die when he jumped from the tower. What actually is true may reveal itself in the next few chapters.

Today I will summarize and make a theme for what has recently happened in Inferno  what has happened is that there has been a somewhat rewind in events when the story goes to the point of view of the director of WHO, and there is an obvious theme to these specific flashbacks, don't mess with people who are extremely confident. This is the theme because we know that the director was somehow kidnapped by soldiers hired by this man, and is now drugged and trapped, so I can tell that up until that point, the director did not succeed in stopping this mysterious man. So when she finds out beyond any reasonable doubt that this man was a bioterrorist, she proceeded to threaten him while he is all relaxed and confident in his victory.
While the flashbacks only composed of two chapters of a grand total of thirty chapters that I have read so far, the latter of them mostly composed of Langdon and Sienna running away from the Italian police and constantly escaping by a thread. The theme of these chapters is wisdom conquers all, no matter how much firepower and resources the other side has. Recently, they had to use an old Chinese interrogation technique to get a combination out of a guard to get into a corridor which will both lead to their escape, but will also help them answer all the questions they have been asking.

Blog post

For this exciting blog post I will talk about character development of Robert Langdon for the last two chapters. Initially in the story he started out having next to no memory of the last few days caused by a bullet wound to the head. Only recently has he started to figure out what had occurred in those select few days. When he came into the hospital he was thought to be saying very sorry, as if he had done something wrong, but it turned out he was saying the name of a famous artist, Vasari .

Another thing that he was thought to have said, though it was not recorded, was, "If I don't succeed, all is death.",  and this has a very big impact on the story and on Langdon as a character because it adds on a more panicked attitude to the characters in the story and an advantageous role of the antagonists involved within the story.

Blog Post Make-Up

                                                                   Blog Post Make Up

What has happened recently in Inferno is that the Consortium has sent a trained group of assault men to go and kill Robert Langdon and Sienna Brooks. They try to get into Brooks' house, but fail to capture Langdon. They try to contact the police, and the police start looking for Langdon by making a bunch of road blocks and check-ups. They just barely get past them by pretending to be art teachers getting directed by a couple of students.  The problem is, is that where they want to go is right through the barricade, but the art students help them by showing them how they usually get past the barricade.
In the most recent chapter, the story flips to the point of view of Dr. Elizabeth Sinskey, the director of the World Health Organization (WHO). After going to a lecture and giving a speech, a renowned member of the Council of Foreign Relations invites her to talk. He makes a rood comment, does not introduce himself, and if very disrespectful of Dr. Sinskey, though she does not leave. What he implies to her is that the worlds population is too high, and humans have resisted the worlds natural way to prevent overpopulation by any species, disease. He also implied that the only way for the world to not be overpopulated by humans is for it to be 'cleaned' by a disease.

Today I am going to analyze the events of Inferno. What has happened is that what Langdon once thought for sure was cotrovacer turned out to be something else that has yet to be revealed. Dan Brown always had a clever way of making things that you think you knew actually be false. Also recently in the book one of the characters who tried to kill Langdon named Vayentha, was disavowed (to end all ties with) from the Consortium most likely because she had failed to kill Langdon and get the 'object' he was holding. I do not think that is the last we will be seeing of Vayentha, because Dan brown made a whole chapter and a paragraphs about him.
Today I am going to contemplate what might happen further in the book Inferno. What has happened is the Consortium has enlisted the Florence police to help look for Langdon and Sienna,  which they proceeded to make road blocks to search for them. What they did is they pretended to be art teachers and sneaked into an art school. What I think may happen is that they will somehow get caught by the police and will also get away by some clever maneuver.

                                                            Blog Post Week 2 #1

Today I am going to review a character in the book Inferno by Dan Brown. This specific character is a doctor named Sienna Brooks, who is a person with an extremely high IQ, which the main character, Robert Langdon, reads is estimated to be at or above 200. According to eoht, it is extremely rare and unlikely that an individual has an iq of 200 or above. This fictional character is very intellegent, and has joined a group in which only people who have a very high iq can join, and in that same group, they repeatedly take iq tests.

                                                      Blog Post Week 1:Post 1

Inferno opens up with a man (who constantly refers to himself as a shade) running from two other men. He seems to be incredibly scared, and is desperately trying to find a way to get away from them. He finds a tower, and starts climbing it, and eventually jumps off, mentioning some gift he left behind to mankind. This prologue is perfect in making me interested into the story, and helping me to read on. Prologues tend to be very mysterious, and this specific one does a terrific job at being just that.
The second chapter starts with the main character, Robert Langdon, who has somehow been in a hospital for the past 3 days, and has no memory of how he got there. And, minutes later, a visitor comes to kill him, and find some 'object'. The assassin fails to terminate him, and he runs off with a doctor. This part of the story is a great time for the reader to think about the characters, and attempt to make some theory about what is happening in the story.

The book I chose to read is the fourth installment of the Da Vinci Code series, written by Dan Brown. This series is world renowned and has sold at least 200 million copies altogether. I decided to read this book because, after reading the first three books in the series, have become intrested in the content of this book. Another reason that I have chosen to read this book is because a few months ago, my dad read this book and really liked it, saying that it had a great storyline. Another reason that I have decided to read this story, however, is the fact that Dan Brown is a great author who always makes great content that readers always enjoy and will be classics for years to come. I am very excited to get started on this book very soon!
